Oh, now, remember: We've not announced a release date yet, and--here goes--If you don't hear it from us, it's not official. (The only thing we've said is 3rd Quarter 2007.)
I can assure you that Guild Wars: Eye of the North will have a simultaneous global release.

I hope you guys do us a biiiiiiiig favor and release it some time during the summer. It seems that every previous release (including Sorrow's Furnace) happened around the beginning or end (finals) of a Semester.
Please don't make me choose between GW and school! Especially this time...EotN looks amazing!

You're misreading what they said, the White Mantle never knew the Mursaat had a mortal form, except probably the higher archy of their organization. The front was the fact that the common "footmen" of the White Mantle thought the Mursaat were gods, when all along they were just a more powerful race pushing their weight around. They were never controlled by a "Greater Evil", from my understanding.

The Liongaurd weren't in control, thats like saying the New York Police Department is in control of New York. They were just enforcers of the Royal family.

The lionguard worked for the krytan monarchy, they where not the ones running kryta themselves. It states the shining blade want to re-establish the old monarchy meaning more lionguard

Anyone else feel that there's a blend of flavor of North American (pre-European) and Viking-esque cultures in the Norn?

Yeah they remind me of the Norn from Morrowind, and they reminded me of Vikings.
As a Finn, I love everything that has something to do with Vikings.

I'm glad to see the Deldrimor Dwarves have reclaimed the Shiverpeaks, because all the "what's happened since Prophecies" paragraphs before it are real depressing. Ascalon AND Kryta are both STILL totally messed up. Meh.
We can see pictures of Charr in what appears to be pre. It MUST be the Charr homeland, since we've been told it resembles pre-searing. Look at image six - a Charr with a human beard! XD
I thought the Asura would be like gnomes minus the technology, but that cool portal may prove otherwise.
The Norn look pretty impressive, though I would like to see a Norn's head in game form (so far we only got that concept art).

The Asura have got me intrigued now, their clothing suggests an Incan/Mayan theme.

The 1st thing I thought of when I seen the pic of the Norn was Master Blsater from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

Man I can't wait until GW:EN, and the Norn look awesome. I also wonder if when playing the Asura they have a special effect called 'cuteness' which makes all enemies stop and look at them. Then the Asura use their powerful magic to decimate everyone. The only concern i have wiith GW:EN is that there will only be 150 new skills, 50 of which are PvE exclusive. That leaves really only 100 new skills, and across all professions that is only 10 skills per profession. If you divide that again for each attribute that is like 2 new skills per attribute. I think ANet is getting kinda stingy.

I agree, if you guys could release it in July sometime...perhaps July 27th? I agree though, with school well under way, I would want GW:EN coming out earlier in the summertime!
Lol, well as long as they make a fine high quality finished product, I don't care when it comes out this year!
Looks great!

remember the less skills to make the more chance they are balanced and fun to use upon release instead of having every1 use super powered 1337 skill and then they nerf it

I sure hope so. Finally Assassin armor without spikes everywhere and with swords on the back! Unfortunately, I think this is just and NPC/hero. =(

ah dear lovely lady, long time no speak
However, as this I'm guessing was an official press release about GW:EN, why not just give them the date too

If there is an assassin armor similiar to that in the game (hoping), i'm definitely getting it right away for my assassin, hopefully they have awesome necromancer armors as well. Looks pretty nice, other than that, I can't wait for Eye of the North to come out, I look foward to it.
